What is the CQC?
The CQC (Care Quality Commission) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
The CQC make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and they encourage care services to improve.
The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services and publish what they find. Where they find poor care, they will use their powers to take action.
