Non Repeat Prescriptions

Medications that are prescribed to patients for a short term period are known as Acute (sudden onset and lasts a relatively short period of time).  Acute medication is issued in most cases to deal with an acute condition and may be a one-off.   Acute medication cannot be put on Repeat Prescription.  Should you have a repeat of a medical condition, you will need to put in a request to the practice and the GP (or other health professional) will review your condition before the medication can be issued.  In some cases the GP may need to speak with you or may require you to atttend an appointment.

If a consultation is required, this type of prescription request may take longer than 72 hours.
